Come for a Walk in Morden in August

A series of four community walks in the month ahead will include an August 30 walk that will take participants on the Kinsmen path through the golf course and then up to Lake Minnewasta.

The Morden Historical Society will be offering a series of free heritage walks in Morden.
The walks are designed to give new residents and visitors to Morden a sense of the community's history.
Everyone is welcome, and all walks begin at 7 p.m. weather permitting.
The schedule of walks is as follows:
August 3
- Art and Architecture
This is a 1.5 km. walk through Morden's business district. Meet at the Pembina Hills Arts Gallery & Gift Shop at 352 Stephen Street in downtown Morden.
August 16
- A Rose by any Other Name
Take a 1 km. walk through the Morden agricultural research station. Meet in the station parking lot off Stephen & Route 100.
August 23
- Along the Creek and Through the Woods
This is a 3 km. walk through Morden's parks. Meet at the Morden Park sign at Thornhill and 13th Street.
August 30
- On the Shore of Lake Agassiz
We will walk approximately 3 km. to Lake Minnewasta and through the golf course. Meet at the west end of Alvey Street off Mountain.
